Nevada County Heroes

February 15, 2017

So many so much during the evacuation of surrounding communities into Grass Valley/Nevada City. The fairgrounds accepted more than 1000 people, the local Carl’s JR. donated 200 hamburgers, Grass Valley’s Raley’s served breakfast Monday and lunch on Tuesday. Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters delivered goodies to the evacuees for Valentine’s Day…also thanks to Uptown Burrito, Karing Closet, Karl Lanquist and his team, and so many more that made the refugees feel welcome. Butte County’s Sheriff tells us that the danger, though reduced, could return, and that we are all to be vigilant in case of another situation…but for all that you did for this incident: Thank you to the many heroes of Nevada County!
