We’ll Miss You, John
This week lost an amazing man. His sudden death has sent shock waves through out little community and an outpouring of love and mourning for John Kane, who touched so many lives in the short time he was with us. He came on as an advertiser at KNCO soon after opening his restaurant, instantly making friends with the staff and making them all regulars with his great food, great drinks, bear hugs and a wonderful spirit. He embraced and supported his new community with his whole heart and the community, in return, loved him with all of ours.
Everytime I came in, he was there with a bear hug and a “How ya doin’, Honey?”
I saw him sitting at the Penny Pitch with his love, Maria Ramos- and we talked about their upcoming trip to San Diego- and promised to come by for a drink when he got back. I remember thinking, “I haven’t been by to have a drink in too long. I miss these guys…..” Now I really wish I had done it sooner. And my heart goes out to Maria and his family…
So we will remember his outrageous characters, Mrs. Doubtfire, Guy Fietti & Johnny Double Double, his kindness, generosity and sense of humor as we say goodbye. We love you, John, you will be missed.
