New Year’s Resolutions
I am not one for making New Year’s resolutions. It seems like an expectation that is a little difficult to live up to. If it was too hard to make happen all year long, what’s so magical about the begging of the year that is going to make it any easier?
I guess it’s all about attitude and determination. So I suppose I’m going about it all wrong. There are all kinds of things in my life that I would like to change, and they would all take a considerable amount of work to change. I’d like to lose a few pounds, find a way to make more money without taking up too much of my time, spend more time with the kids, volunteer at school (I would like to say “more”- but it seems that the volunteerism has fallen off completely), move into a bigger place with cabinets and closets for all of my stuff (which really isn’t much) and cleanse my heart of everything that feels heavy on it (figuratively, I’m not talking fat & cholesterol- although that would be good, too). Is it possible to do it all in a year? If not, which ones do I choose? It’s something to ponder in the next few days….. the first is coming soon!
