Our bags are packed…almost!
All week around the office my co-workers have been reminding me that theĀ “countdown to freedom lost” meter is ticking, and that at 9:30 P.M. (California time) on Thursday, July 17th, I will be a willing participant in a small, sunset wedding ceremony with my fiancee Amelia.
Dropping our dog off at the groomers, a good solid 90 minutes of laundry and having a new toilet installed in our home, are all that separate Amelia and I from heading to the Bay Area tonight to celebrate one final evening on the “mainland” as fiance and fiancee. We leave for Oahu at 3:30 P.M. tomorrow out of San Francisco. Delta…be good to us please.
I will miss our loyal FM listeners for the next week, but fear not, you are in good hands with Deana and Eric. I want to thank my co-workers for their good luck wishes and kind words this week.
I want to especially thank my beautiful and amazing daughter London. London, thank you for allowing dad to have this time alone with Amelia. It is a very special gift that you’ve given us, the gift of intimacy. I can’t wait to take a trip with the three of us, which we will do very soon. I love you London, and have fun with your uncle Rick.
And no…no driving his car. You’re 12 years old for crying out loud. I have my ways of finding out.
Lots of love!
