First Live Broadcast From 2014 Nevada County Fair!!
The first day of the 2014 Nevada County officially began at 10A.M. this morning.
After we finished with the opening procedures at the KNCO gazebo, Deana and I began a two-hour, live broadcast just minutes after the National Anthem ended. The sky was mostly cloudy with a slight breeze, and a temperature of 75 degrees. New KNCO General Manager Don Langsford was present, and got a taste of his first fair in Grass Valley.
The highlight of the morning was getting a chance to talk on-air with some of the younger fair goers. One young lady, by the name of Lacy, was visiting all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada. My first sample of fair food–a fresh baked bagel slathered in cream cheese–was graciously delivered to us by the Corner Deli. It was heavenly!
Deana and I are looking forward to another fun morning show tomorrow, in which we will have more fair goodies to give away. And don’t forget to come out and say hi to me at KNCO gazebo again tomorrow. I will be broadcasting solo from 10A.M. to noon.
I hope to see you out there.
